Description

The educational program “Fiber Optic Cabling Technician” is designed to familiarize anyone starting out with fiber optics with the technology and processes involved in the design, installation, and operation of fiber optic networks. It can also enhance the knowledge of individuals with some training or experience. It focuses strictly on the practical aspects of fiber optics and is not intended to offer academic knowledge. Instead, it emphasizes training and the basic skills needed to design, install, test, and operate fiber optic networks. The program also aims to explain the variety of components and technological approaches used in the field and how to choose among them.

One of the most important aspects of this program is to include the latest technology. This course will teach the differences between applications (telephony/Internet/CATV/LAN, etc.) so that trainees can work smartly in today’s work environment.

This program has been developed by the SCHOOL OF TELECOMS. The purpose of the program is to explain to trainees how fiber optic networks are designed and implemented.
