Description
The program is aimed at experienced fiber optic splicing technicians, focusing on the maintenance and proper operation of splicer machines. The program provides advanced training in ribbon splicing techniques and Splice on Connector (SOC) terminations. A significant portion of the training (50%) is practical, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in real-world conditions. Technicians learn to safely handle and maintain splicing devices, ensuring optimal performance and long-term operation of the equipment. The program analyzes the mechanical splicing process, providing knowledge and skills for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during splicing. Participants are also trained to conduct connection tests using OTDR to evaluate the quality of splices and analyze signal loss. The cable termination techniques with SOC connectors enable technicians to perform precise and reliable terminations. Upon completion of the “Certified Fiber Optic Specialist Splicing CFOSS®” program, technicians will be fully equipped with advanced maintenance, operation, and optimization skills for fiber optic splicing systems, enhancing their professional prospects and efficiency in the fiber optics field.
